STUDIO ETIQUETTE

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move without restriction. Most people choose to practice without socks, but that is a personal choice.

Limit strong-smelling body perfumes, deodorants, lotions, to avoid overpowering sensitive noses around you.

UPON ARRIVAL

Arrive at least five minutes before class begins to set up your mat and settle into your space. If you are new to the studio, please arrive 10 minutes early to make sure you are properly registered and to check in with the instructor.

Remove your shoes, stow your personal belongings and lay out your mat a comfortable distance away from your neighbor.

Silence your phone and keep it with your personal belongings.

If you are experiencing temporary limited mobility or have any health concerns, please alert the studio staff and the class instructor before class.

Socializing before and after class is welcomed, even encouraged, but please be mindful of your voice volume and content of conversation to ensure your fellow yogis can enjoy the space around you. Please cease conversations at the beginning of class.

We are a studio that is welcoming of all humans, please introduce yourself to new faces.

DURING CLASS

If there is something being asked of you in class you are not comfortable doing, please take care of yourself and listen to your inner wisdom and don’t do it.

While you may need to make modifications to your practice to execute what the instructor is asking, please respect the teacher’s offering and stay with his or her direction.

Most classes will end with at least five minutes spent in quiet rest. If you need to leave class early, please notify the teacher before class and exit before this final resting period, savasana.

AFTER CLASS

Feel free to ask the instructor any questions that arose during class.

Gather your personal belongings and take a scan of your spot to make sure you didn't leave anything behind.

Please exit the studio in a timely manner to avoid any congestion at the door and to be cognizant of the instructor's time. Conversations can be continued in the breezeway outside the studio.
